<<Today I got a list of their (excellent) questions,
and could easily spend the whole time just answering
them. One thing that came up repeatedly was duration
and nursing toddlers.

I am nursing a 4.5yo on a limited basis, as well as my
6mo. It would be comfortable to me to disclose.
Would this freak them out, or would it be a good thing
for them to meet a real person who breastfeeds this
long?>>

Lynn, I don't think it would freak them out. I think
it would be a good thing to share a personal story as
part of a presentation on normal breastfeeding in a
college classroom.

I'm delighted to hear the question came up repeatedly.
Clearly the word is out! If anyone does freak, the
good news is there'll be less freaking the next time a
mother happens to be nursing her 4 year old. I think
that's how change happens.
