The latest JHL has a very good prospective study on tongue tie, indications
to treat, f/u etc.
The common findings, if I remember correctly, were 1. difficult latch 2.
trauma to nipples or pain 3. nonstop feedings.
Perhaps you could call her attention to the article or have th e friend do
so before it is too late.
