Hi, Christie: Like most hospitals in the Chicago area, we send class fliers advertising all the classes offered thru the hospital out in direct mailings to people's homes, our perinatal education co-ordinator does periodic drs. office visits to distribute fliers, and our PR dept. puts a monthly listing of classes and special events in the local newspapers. It just seems like those that don't really need the classes are those that do, and those that do don't. The HOT article comes from Breastfeeding Review (Australia) Vol 8 No 1 2000. and is entitled "The Implementation of the HOT Program at the Royal Women's Hospital. Authors are Dianne Fletcher, RN,RM,CCU(ICU) and Heather Harris, BNg MMid IBCLC We are nowhere near even considering BBFHI, so you're many steps ahead of us. Good Luck.
