>>According to the FDA website PDF of the package insert, the manufacturer is AH Robbins. Interestingly, as I looked, it appears that a major law firm is looking for litigants to sue the company because of serious effects with long term use. http://www.reglan-lawsuit.com/<< One of my clients called me a few weeks ago to tell me what has happened to her since taking Reglan to try to relactate a year ago. She has had a string of mysterious health problems and was in psych counseling as well. Only after her own mother developed similar symptoms after taking Reglan for something entirely different did my client put two and two together and start searching on the web. She discovered quite a lot (just try a search on reglan) that seems to parallel what she has been going through. She cannot join the suit because it is being limited to people with just a couple of the symptoms (not hers), but she is still very upset about what has happened to her. Although the longer term complications are rare, they apparently do happen and sometimes, as in the case of my client if she is correct, they don't really set in until AFTER discontinuation of the drug. Now that is scary. Domperidone has not gained acceptance among my local HCPs, so only a few of my clients have had opportunity to try it. I have not heard of one problem to date with domperidone. Someone a lot higher than the rest of us needs to investigate this. ~Lisa Marasco *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
