I had a mom call me this morning because she is suffering with allergies. She said they used to be seasonal, but now they're year-round. She has not been using much of anything, prescription or otherwise because her doc has told her she can't have anything while BF--and she's really miserable. I read her the information from Dr. Hales "Clinical Therapies" under "allergic rhinitis" for suggestions of meds that her doctor could prescribe. But she really would like to start her weekly allergy shots again, and of course the doc says she can't until she is finished BF. She has already had 4 sinus infections and been on antibiotics as a result of the allergies. Baby is 4 1/2 months. Aren't allergy shots OK? Where can I find info for her to show her doc? I've looked in BF Answer Book, archives, and Riordan & Auerbach.
