Hi Ann, I don't know what the right thing to do here is. But, we take the "highest good for highest number" approach to solving the dilemna. The use of a venue like this to reach a large number of parents with an important message cannot be downplayed. I work at a Baby Friendly Hospital and WE DO attend events at Babies-R-Us. We give out info. about the benefits of breastfeeding and value of various pumps. We teach mini-classes which bring folks to our full length breastfeeding classes. When we were reviewed for Baby Friendly, I am sure the committee knew of our outreach at Babies-R-Us. It was not a problem for them. Have also been asked to have a table with info on my lactation services and rental pumps. I just received the fax to sign and return and I had a nagging thought that maybe this is not an okay thing to do.
