First Years makes several pumps, including a double pumping thing that resembles bicycle handle bars, a small battery/electric, and a manual one that requires both hands to operate. From what I know of those three, they are not really worth much, except maybe for someone whose milk can be expressed very easily. However, they also have a new one-hand design that has only been on the market for a year or so. It sells for only $20 here, at ShopKo. I bought one, out of curiosity. It has a comfortable handle, similar to the Avent Isis, and also some aspects of the Egnell one-hand pump. Of course, I am not lactating, so I can't really try it out, but it seems to be pretty decent, really. If this is the pump this mom has and, assuming the price she paid is similar to what I paid for mine, I would say she might as well try it out. _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected?
