>I do use the factory one. I give the example of a coca cola vs pepsi cola >factory (sorry, not a healthful analogy). If everyone wants coca cola then >the factory will stay open 24/7 and pay the workers overtime. If no one buys >pepsi the factory will lay off workers and shut down. >I'm a gardener so deadheading the flowers to increase the bloom or picking >the zucchini makes sense, but not sure it will resonate for most moms. also >new moms probably have no exp. w/ teenagers! Just my 2 cents. I know....I didn't actually intend the teens and laundry basket comparison as a serious contender for new mothers (heavens, they have enough to cope with.....wouldn't dare tell 'em the full facts about teenagers!!). According to my colleague Sheila Company, it's probably sweet peas and not anemones that are the 'cut and come again' flower, too.....but yes, how many young mums are gardeners?! However, I think I might use the laundry basket for teaching healthcare professionals, many of whom do have experience of teens...and some of the young recently-qualified docs I teach twice a year (and truly, they know less than nothing about bf, yet are being deferred to on postnatal wards - yikes) might still be in that phase of life themselves :) Heather Welford Neil NCT bfc, UK *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
