If baby is feeding within the first hour of birth (recovery period), there should be an RN (even better if educated in breastfeeding basics) in attendance one-on-one anyway, correct? While the nurse is present to help with the initial latch on and observe that the baby is indeed breastfeeding and latched on well, there was no requirement that the entire feeding (which can last some time) be observed.
