Pam Price's case of a slowly growing small breastfed baby sounds like, as others have written, a child who doesn't have time to get chubby. He is BUSY, being an active and happy child. The pediatrician's comment as reported by the mother ("if he was never used to getting enough he would not know what it's like to be really full") is just silly. It might be worth it for the mother to find a doc who is less preoccupied with a number on a scale and more observant of the baby. We know they are out there! If the baby is never really full, why is he overflowing with milk? I'm with the 'if it ain't broke, let's not break it' contingent here.
