Had a call from a client reporting recent onset of "excrutiating" nipple pain while feeding her 4m baby. She says there is no visible nipple trauma but sometimes sees white bits which she wipes off. She reports that her baby has altered blood in her stools and has seen baby vomit "pure" blood. She has no pain and no bleeding when pumping. We will advise having baby checked by pedi, feed baby/protect supply, but does anyone know of a breastfeeding supportive specialist in the Austin, TX area should she need a physician referral?
