Hi all, ILCA president Nancy Jo Ericksen has asked that I post this to the list. Rachel Myr (listmother) Kristiansand, Norway Dear Lactnet readers, As President of the International Lactation Consultant Association, I would like to clarify recent questions about the "Find a Lactation Consultant" (FALC) service provided on the ILCA website, www.ilca.org. The FALC directory is one of the most highly valued services provided on the ILCA website, and is designed to help lactation consultants, other health providers in the community, and breastfeeding mothers access IBCLCs in their community. It is provided as a special service for IBCLCs who are members of ILCA, the professional organization for IBCLCs and aspiring lactation consultants. In the past, inclusion in the directory is offered only for ILCA members who expressly provide permission to have their names and contact information listed. This usually occurred during the time of initial membership or renewal. Members may also be listed in an ILCA Membership Directory, provided on the Members Only side of the website. The current 2004 dues renewals are going out with listing in the directories becoming automatic unless you opt out, so this is your opportunity to be sure you are listed! ILCA is also exploring enhancements to the directory so it is even more useful and user-friendly, and hope to begin implementation after the first of the year. We certainly welcome your ideas about what would be most helpful for you! Thank you, and remember…ILCA is you! Sincerely, Nancy Jo Ericksen ILCA President *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
