Good morning Kathleen and other Listmother, For me Lactnet is the most valuable tool I have for working in the field of Lactation. Books and magazines are instructional, workshops are educational, but there is nothing like needing help or support and having thousands of cohorts ready, willing and able to help. I had a patient die, breastfeeding mother, a couple of weeks ago and I was the last medical person to see her. After being informed I rushed back to my computer and into the wide open arms of my Lactnet family. With a heavy heart and eyes full of tears I asked questions of my Lactnet family I could not have asked anyone else. Within a matter of moments the e-mails started to pour in from all over the world. They provided me with correct information, love and lots of emotional support. I know of no where else, in the field of Lactation, this could have happened. Lactnet is not just a place to go and learn, it is a "family"! And like any family we can be a bit dysfunctional at times and act like a spoiled or ungrateful child. But as all good mothers do, they find a way to wrap their arms around their family and continue to provide love, support and if needed a swift kick in the behind. Thank you and all the other Listmothers for starting Lactnet and for keeping it going through the good and bad times. From one of your Spoiled and often times Ungrateful Lactnet daughters, Sincere thanks Crystal Stearns RNC, MS, IBCLC Mercy Memorial Health Center Ardmore, OK 73401 *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
