A number of years ago, the Josyln Diabetes Center in Boston did a trial of prophylactic insulin injections in possible pre-diabetic siblings of children who were already diagnosed as diabetic. It was stopped as it did not work as a deterrent to developing future disease. Wondering what drug companies know now so that they are set to put insulin into formula to mimic some breastmilk properties. Babies viewed as lab animals again.
