A number of years ago, the Josyln Diabetes Center in Boston did a trial
of prophylactic insulin injections in possible pre-diabetic siblings of
children who were already diagnosed as diabetic. It was stopped as it
did not work as a deterrent to developing future disease. Wondering
what drug companies know now so that they are set to put insulin into
formula to mimic some breastmilk properties. Babies viewed as lab
animals again.

Subject: insulin in milk
I don't understand this, since the reason people with diabetics must
inject insulin is that it is not bioavailable through the GI tract and a
form that can be taken orally has not been found. Miriam
