I have never had any problem seeing mothers maintain adequate supply, even
those who exclusively pump, or pump for long periods of time for a baby in
the NICU, with a Lactina. (I know people get very attached to pumps they
prefer!) I usually order Classics only for moms who claim they "don't get
enough milk from the Lactina" in my experience, these are *only* moms who
used the Classic in the hospital.

I know there is a lot of affection for the Classic among LCs. I like it,
but have always found the Lactina adequate (and less expensive for my
clients,) and have had no complaints from any mothers who use it as their
first pump. (I feel I am expressing heresy here! LOL!)

The research (I don't have the citation)seems to show the suction ppsi and
cycle times are the very similar between the Classic and the Lactina. One
of the hospitals I get referals from uses the Lactina almost exclusively
and has reported no problems with supply mantainence.

As far as I know the hospitals around here have not been using the Symphony
yet. I am waiting for requests. (Also waiting for Classic enthusists
responses....)
