First of all, I have to share a lighthearted thought that every time I think of the topic of this thread a part of me smiles, because my now 2.5 yo nursling is commonly referred to in my house as a "feeding monkey" because his preferred position is closer to an inverted Warrior II yoga pose than anything ever seen in a breastfeeding textbook. When that position bores him, he likes to hang the majority of his body over the back of the sofa and nurse from there with me seating normally on the sofa while he's rhythmically kicking the back of the sofa from behind it (imagine that one!). Anyhoo... Please ignore the giant bruise on my forehead, its from repeated head-bangings on the wall because further investigation into this request for distribution of donation information for human milk for research primates has resulted in the following information - The scientist (I think I mentioned previously she is a new nursing mama) was recommended by an IBCLC to ask around and see if anyone wanted to donate milk to the primates, since "it was such a colossal pain in the ___ to donate milk to a milk bank" and she felt that "at least its better than dumping it down the sink." Excuse me while I get a spatula to scrape my jaw off the floor.
