I am stumped. I have permission from a mom I am working with to ask for your collective advise. Baby is 3 months old. Full term, happy, healthy baby with appropriate weight gain. First time mom with good supply. Mom started pumping 3 weeks ago in preparation for returning to work next month. Baby learned to take a bottle well but every time she has taken a bottle 2-3 hours later begins screaming and is inconsolable for about 3 hours. We have tried fresh milk, small feeds, burping well, upright positions, slow nipples and nothing has made a difference. This is the only time she ever cries and the mom is terrified of what will happen when she has to go back to work. Anyone have an idea what is going on? What am I missing here? Thanks, Janet Hoover, LM, IBCLC Santa Cruz, CA Who wears street clothes and a lab coat with multiple pockets. *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
