Hello! We currently have a patient with preterm labor at 29 weeks gestation. She was treated with mag sulfate, steroids, and now terbutaline. She also received reglan 2 days ago. She has low serum calcium and potassium, probably related to mag therapy. She noticed this morning hard, lumpy breasts from which milk is easily expressed. Does anyone have information as to why this has occured and what we might expect to happen as a result? Thanks for you wisdom, Beth Seidel, IBCLC Pekin Hospital, Pekin, IL *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
