Gonneke says, > All of a sudden more cases of drs 'diagnosing' breastmilk allergy. > Could there be an overactive hypoallergen formula rep running around? > I personally think it is more a case of "Our formula now is just like breastmilk so who needs the real stuff??" rep running around.... That said, I heard from another LC who asked me to ask if anyone has ever heard of PUPPPS (Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy) being related to breastfeeding? She has a mom that got it postpartum with the last baby, and she tolerated it for 4 weeks then weaned -- the papules went away almost immediately. With this baby, it started at 36 weeks of pregnancy, and got progressively worse. Her doc told her it was related to prolactin and to stop bf, so she did at 3 days. Yesterday was day 4, and she was still miserable, but they will be interested to see what transpires. Any ideas?
