The Mead-Johnson rep was here yesterday with an inservice which include
lunch. (I did not go.)
A couple staff members came to me following the meeting to show me a
brochure on the amount of DHA-ARA in Enfamil with Lipil and in breastmilk.
They made it a point to show me that Enfamil with Lipil has a higher amount
of DHA-ARA then breastmilk.
I asked them if they knew where the lipil in the formula came from. They
didn't know. I told them the reason DHA-ARA is higher in formula because
it is not easily absorbed by the infant.
Is that a correct statement?
