Aargh! The study recently posted about that involved a phone survey that showed an increase in the rate of co-sleeping was just commented on the local news here. The reporter stated that the rate of increase is most likely due to a rise in breastfeeding, with moms just allowing baby to fall asleep with them after. She then repeated the caution that babies should always be put down to sleep in their cribs on their backs. I was especially concerned, because breastfeeding and dying of overlying were mentioned in the same sentence, almost sounding like the one was causing the other. Now I'm off to the WGN website to see if I can find a way to complain.
