This is a situation where pumping and fingerfeeding for a day or two,
with brief feedings at the breast to help baby remember what they are
for, can be helpful.  When the baby retracts the tongue, mom angles her
finger downward against the tongue to encourage it to cover the gums
again, and she stops delivering milk until his tongue it in the correct
place.  Most kiddos learn very fast this way, unless there is an
anatomical reason he is using the tongue incorrectly.  Even with an
anatomical restriction, tongue movements can often improve....
