Ann hindmilk feeding (lactoengineering) isn't meant to replace HMF. All that is increased with hindmilk feedings is the fat content, while HMF provides extra calories as well as additional vitamins, minerals, etc, etc. I also hope it will be just a matter of time before your Unit starts doing KMC with ventilated babies - I'm sure all involved will find it a very positive and rewarding experience.
