Hi All~

I went through this nightmare with my son. At around three months, he
started having blood specs in his stool (ironically after an ear infection
and a treatment of antibiotics). I tried everything, was eventually nursing
from one side per feeding, and was on a no egg, no dairy, no soy diet. I
gradually started adding foods back in but found that Soy was the biggest
offender along with dairy. My doc was pressuring me to give formula too so
I gave him an ear full switched docs and searched out a gastro doc who said
that it was a food sensitivity that would most likely go away by his first
birthday which it has. The doctor assured me that as long as my son was
gaining weight & did not seem bothered by it he would be fine.
Soy is in EVERYTHING, from breads, cakes, premade soups, chips, etc. My
saving grace was a health food store that had a wide variety of things I
could eat that were soy & dairy free, she may find some help at a store in
her area.

Hope this helps, tell her not to give up!
