I am a breastfeeding peer counsler and LLL Leader hopeful and was recently asked by a peer of mine about Chones deiseas and breastfeeding. I did a search in the archives and came up empty handed (much to my suprise!) She was recently diagonised with Chones disease and is currently nursing her 7 month old daugheter (she nusrsed her son for 2 years) Her dr (who she admits is not very pro-breastfeeding) is preasurring her to wean immediatly. She also needs to find out about some of the procedures they are wanting to do and how those conflict with nursing. Colonoscopy, and some Berium thing being two of those tests. Any information on the safty of bfing with Chrone's would be greatly appreciated. Also, it is my understanding that bfing will reduce her daughters chances of getting Chrones herself - is this documented? Thank you. *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
