Marsha's posts yesterday really underscore the importance of this post that Gail made on 10/18. Maybe this is a place to start. There isn't much time left! Michelle --------------------- In response to the information posted from Mercola's website, I did a bit more digging. The information mentioned is in draft form and in a sixty day comment period as developed by the Office of the Inspector General and posted in the Federal Register Vol 67, No. 192/Thursday, October 3, 2002. Comments must be received by 5 p.m. December 2, 2002. Please use this link to obtain the draft info. http://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/complianceguidance.html This is a real opportunity for all breastfeeding coalitions, LaLeche League, ILCA and other supportive parties to respond. All written comments become information of public record. We need to make sure that infant formula is covered by this guidance piece to pharmacies. There are places that reference pharmaceutical products and other places that reference drugs. I have not had time to critically read the guidance piece in its entirety. Keep in mind that comments must be mailed and received by December 2, 2002. Faxed comments are not accepted.
