Earlier today, Dr. Phil's website (http://makeashorterlink.com/?R35C63462) read, "The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children be breast-fed for six to 12 months." I'm happy to note that the website has now been updated to read, "The American Academy of Pediatrics says that breastfeeding for the first 6 months after birth supports optimal growth and development and recommends that children be breast-fed for at least 12 months. Thereafter, breastfeeding can continue for as long as mutually desired." It's nice to know when our voices are heard.
