Marsha, I hope you are in touch with the local unit rep from whichever organization is your bargaining agent where you work. You'll need to be pro-active here and not wait for the meconium to splatter: get out of the breeze! Your rep should be chomping at the bit, waiting to go in and defend you for adhering to your code of ethics as both an IBCLC and a nurse. Media exposure could be a possible avenue if you, the rep, and the management don't get it sorted out among yourselves, but you should be careful about the journalist involved, to be sure they understand who is being wronged here (mothers and babies, and of course you) by whom (the almighty dollar and its loyal servants).
