# The baby spit some breastmilk onto the mother's chest causing hives.
The mother took some EBM and put on her arm. She noted red, raised
whelps which itched for several hours before going away. She doesn't
have any problem with her nipples #

On the Finnish bf support mailing list there was a couple of years ago
a mom who told the same thing: No problems with breastfeeding/nipples,
but her own milk, if sprayed onto her e.g. arm, caused her red itchy
spots. If I remember correct, her skin was sensitive (not atopic but
sensitive).
