We have taken all of your comments into consideration and discussed this with people at Ursula and Sage's school and decided to go ahead with doing the show. Next week the girls' teachers will be doing some discussion of how to respond to adult influences in trying to get them to change their minds. (We have a great public school.) I will be presenting this largely as "I don't see this as a problem.. I am sometimes concerned that the girls will discuss their desire to nurse with non-supportive people, so how do I respond to that?", "I dont' like keeping secrets", and a little bit of, and this is a general parenting thing- "how do I get the girls to listen when I say no?" If you have other ideas of how I can effectively present extended breastfeeding and child-led weaning in a positive light, I will value your input. My other issue is- I want supportive people around the girls and Benno in the audience. I have one person lined up, but would like more. It would seem to me that I can expect one person for each child- so I would love to have at least two more of you attend the taping as audience members. It will be at 10:00 next Thursday, October 17. mail me or call me- Jay Gordon, can you come? I would really appreciate it. ===== Kate Hallberg, http://www.cs.colorado.edu/~kolina/advantages-of-formula.html Mom to Ursula (7.8), Sage (5.5) and Benno (21.5 mos) Whatever gets you through your life, it's all right- John Lennon >^,,^< __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
