Everyone, It is a sad day when individuals feel compelled to start censoring their comments to Lactnet for fear of being sued. Or out of fear that a Lactnet subscriber may take it upon themselves, without permission from the author, to forward posts to corporation. Does this mean that the “rules” of the game have changed? Does this mean that if you don't like what someone writes, you can forward that post to another individual or corporation, just to silence the person you disagree with? This is about freedom of speech. This is about critical inquiry. This is about asking *very* important questions. This is about taking part in dialogue and about sharing information. This is about demanding the truth. This is about making a difference in the lives of mothers and babies, rather than making money. Yes, it is a very sad day, indeed. For Lactnet. And for mothers and babies everywhere. Andrea Eastman, MA, IBCLC Granville, Ohio P.S. To the Lactnet listmothers, I understand what you had to do, and that you had to do it. This message is not meant to blame you. Thank you for giving us Lactnet. *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
