I have a friend who went five years. How old is the mom? I think the older the mom the more sensitive the mom may be to the hormonal changes during lactation. I think the average is 14 months,so that means that some moms return to ovulation earlier and others later. I know another mom who had three children and never had a cycle, but obviously ovulated because she has two more kids. The kids are ages 7, 6 and 4. So please remind the mom to check mucus and other signs for ovulation. But at this point, I would not be concerned nor would I wean. joylyn Ellen Mahony wrote: >Hi everyone, >I have a mom who is nursing her 4th child.
