My assessment was positive with regard to lactation outcome only when a blunt cannula is used. Sadly, your client's experience illustrates the very real danger of the sharp cannula. The changes she has noticed during her pregnancy are encouraging, though, and it's wonderful that she has enlisted your help now. I would be very interested in her outcome if you are able to post it.
