Hi everyone
I wonder is there anyone out there who may have experience or knowledge of
the use of human milk to boost immunity in the case of leukemia. Recently a
couple miscarried at 19 weeks and the father of the baby was recently
diagnosed with Chronic Lymphoblastic leukemia. In discussing the management
of lactation post the miscarriage the subject of possible uses of the milk
and the immune properties of human milk came up. It was suggested that a
little excess expressed milk could be given to the 2 year old with cereal
(rather than waste) and the immune benefits could be significant. then the
idea came that maybe the husband could drink the milk to get immune
benefits. does any one know if this is a real possibility in the case of
lymphoblastic leukemia or other chronic illnesses.

Thank you for your input in anticipation on behalf of a family in grieving
