I echo these sentiments. I discovered I was pregnant with #2 at 18 months postpartum (had 2 cycles between pregnancies) while still nursing. It was sooner than I'd hoped for or expected (since we'd had some difficulty conceiving #1). These two children are 27 months apart, WAY to close in my opinion. I didn't feel like my body had a chance to fully recover from the first birth. Some moms won't want to hear it, but extended nursing suppresses ovulation to space pregnancies naturally for a reason. Encourage her to trust the natural cycle of things. Dawn Martin Austin, TX ----- Original Message ----- > How often is the 12 month old nursing?
