I echo these sentiments.  I discovered I was pregnant with #2  at 18 months
postpartum (had 2 cycles between pregnancies) while still nursing.  It was
sooner than I'd hoped for or expected (since we'd had some difficulty
conceiving #1).  These two children are 27 months apart, WAY to close in my
opinion.  I didn't feel like my body had a chance to fully recover from the
first birth.  Some moms won't want to hear it, but extended nursing
suppresses ovulation to space pregnancies naturally for a reason.  Encourage
her to trust the natural cycle of things.
