Hi Barbara,
According to my 1999 Medications and Mothers' Milk (thanks, Gail!),
Sotalol is approved by the AAP for use in breastfeeding. "Pediatric
Concerns: None reported via milk but observe for sedation, bradycardia,
hypotension, weakness." You should be able to find information at the
AAP's website in _Transfer of drugs and other chemicals into human
milk_:
http://www.aap.org/policy/0063.html

Another factor to consider is that that child *is* 2.5 years old, with
greater mass and less nursing than a newborn.

regards,
Beth
