Jan,
Lisa Marasco is studying PCOS and breastfeeding. She will be busy
presenting in Berkeley and Wisconsin for the next week or two, so I'll
answer in brief for her.
Metformin or other diabetes meds that address the insulin resistence
tend to help get hormonal levels back to normal, and might prove
helpful. There is also a single case report of a woman who did not have
sufficient milk for her first baby using progesterone during her second
pregnancy for insufficient luteal phase, who experienced breast growth
and had enough milk for her second baby.
