Here is the text of the letter I sent to Podee just now:

RE: Handsfree feeding system

Babies need to be held, not just a little, but a lot. This is why
traditional societies and modern parents who are in the know use slings to
carry their babies everywhere, and those babies are *rarely seen to cry*,
unlike North American babies for whom it is considered normal to cry three
to four hours a day.

New research on brain development in babies supports the need for babies to
have a great deal of human contact for proper brain development, and a
handsfree feeding system, as you well know, does not meet that need. The
emotional health of this and future generations of children is also being
compromised by your product and others which serve only to distance babies
from their parents and weaken the emotional commitment of parent to child.

As a mother of two children, ages 2 and 5, I am deeply concerned about the
negative impact of this product on young children and ask that you remove it
from the market. Remember, there is more to life than profit. Why not sell
slings instead?
