>If it's your first child you have no >idea how easy it is to travel until you have the next one >or travel with this child when he or she is 2 and you >have to bring diapers, munchie food, toys, etc etc. Travelling with a baby/child at any age is easy if you have (1) the right child and (2) the right attitude. We (hubby and I) travelled by train across Europe and then to Egypt, camping every night, with a child aged 10-11.5 months. She rode all day every day in a backpack, looking at the world. We had to take diapers, and a few toys/books, but no formula or bottles. ;) She ate whatever we did at restaurants -- although she did take a bite out of a water glass in Italy once. We took her to Mali when she was 15 months, and lived there for 2 years. I suspect that the parents who want to leave the 2.5 month old behind for a four day trip to London don't WANT to take the baby with them. :( Kathy Dettwyler _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
