Yesterday on NPR there was a story on the high cost of drugs and the high cost of getting drugs to market and how the pharmaceutical companies may be inflating those numbers. Directly after that there was commentary by a pediatrician about the money pharmaceutical companies spend on doctors like himself. He said $8-13,000 per year per doctor was spent by the pharmaceutical companies. I believe he says this figure is greater than what is spent annually on each resident in the USA. I really found it an enlightening commentary.
