Yesterday on NPR there was a story on the high cost of drugs and the high
cost of getting drugs to market and how the pharmaceutical companies may be
inflating those numbers.  Directly after that there was commentary by a
pediatrician about the money pharmaceutical companies spend on doctors like
himself.  He said $8-13,000 per year per doctor was spent by the
pharmaceutical companies.  I believe he says this figure is greater than
what is spent annually on each resident in the USA.  I really found it an
enlightening commentary.  It is available for listening to on the web at:
