Thanks again for all the wonderful support and praise on my handling of
that breastfeeding help call with the possibly violent mate. Sadly, I
have tried to reach her and have been unable to. I know this part of
the cycle all too well. If I keep calling I run the risk of getting her
into more "trouble." I left two messages on her machine, both with my
name and number only (not saying LLL or breastfeeding, etc.). She knows
how to reach me and I can only hope that if she needs me, she does.

<sigh> It is a helpless feeling but one that I am used to. In my years
as a lawyer doing this work, I only had one client die at the hand of
her abuser. That is actually doing well :(

Many have asked if they could refer to me or post me privately if they
think they have a possible abuse situation. Please feel free. I am
happy to serve as a resource.

Also, as a resource, you can refer moms to my Mothers as Survivors
Project (see URL below).

Love to all.
