I don't know if anyone has ran into this yet. I am in the blueprints pilot
project and have just accepted a part time job as a Unit Clerk at the
Hospital where I'm interning(basically a nurse's assistant). The director
of the mother/baby unit would like to give me some LC hours upon obtaining
my certification next year. I know at this hospital that you can not hold
a union AND a non-union job and the unit clerk job is union. Has anyone
else ever had to deal with this before? I know at some hospitals the RN's
aer unionized but they are not at this hospital. I am just trying to start
to work out some different scenarios in my head so I can be prepared for
next year so any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
