This article had me reeling also. What is depressing is that so many parents
in this country see a "bestselling" label and swallow this crap down without
asking "why?". The Rosemond reply about the centrality of the marriage gives
him away; he wants his wife to himself. Don't we see this a lot?

I picture Ezzo, Rosemond, BabyWhisperer Hogg, and Marilu Henner (who
*refuses* to raise a brat) shaking thier fingers at anyone who will listen
and shouting "Don't let that baby inconvenience you in ANY way!!!" -- their
weakness lies in their *reactinary* stance against the (so-called)
sacrifices of parenthood, and i have faith that that is also what will make
them all "here today, gone tomorrow" (Heck, Ezzo is already being ousted!)
But I have been optimistic lately.

What I am looking for is a succinct, proactive verbal-Aikido style way to
get parents thinking about their choices when I hear these ideas during
intake.
