I was at a lecture last night about Montessori education. He was talking about the "prepared environment" that is integral to a Montessori classroom. He was showing slides and the first one was of a fertus in the womb. The next one was immediately after birth, and the next two were of babies at the breast and he described this as the first "optimally" prepared environment, and he made reference to the "sweet milk". It made me smile to see breastfeeding presented in a totally normal way, during a completely unrelated (to BF) presentation. Just had to share.
