This is in the archives many times. 1. Interferon is too big to get into the breastmilk. 2. If interferon, by chance, got into the milk, it would be destroyed in the baby's stomach. 3. If interferon, by chance, got through the baby's stomach into the intestines, it would not be absorbed. 4. Interferon is made by macrophages in the mother's milk to help protect the baby. Interferon does not require a mother to stop breastfeeding. No matter what the company that makes it says. AND: The decision is the mother's not the neurologist's.
