> Enabling Women to Breastfeed (Renfrew, Woolridge, McGill, 2000, > which is a wonderful resource I have only just read through, but will > Heather -- where is this? What is it -- a book? Article? Series of articles? How can I get hold of it? Jan, this is a book done by the Stationary Office here in the UK (govt publisher). It came out at the end of Sept last year and is the result of a systematic review of the literature world wide which would be relevant to the UK (west) which is relevant to women who have started breastfeeding. Mike Woolridge and Mary Renfrew are two of the authors of the review. It is a GREAT resource, I have been quoting it non-stop since Sept last year, and we have bought it for all the trainers in our organisation. To me, the key notion from the book is that breastfeeding needs to be painfree and effective. Sounds axiomatic, but read the book and you realise how far we are from adhering to these simple precepts. I don't know how you get in the US -- here we order from the Stationary Office, or from Amazon.co.uk -- have you checked US amazon?
