Well..the 1991 study should really be null as that was about the time that Parlodel was DC in US. The 1996 study is referring to a pathological medical condition, NOT normal lactation! So I don't think it is valid to transfer the info from an abnormal condition to a normal physiologic process. Both of Hale's ref are 1991 too. Is anyone aware if Dostinex is being used in USA for purpose of inhibiting normal lactation? The other issue is using scarey stuff to suppress something that will just go away with tincture of time (if you don't want it :-( Sincerely, Pat in SNJ > http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_ui > ds=8713691&dopt=Abstract > Drug Saf 1996 Apr;14(4):228-38 > A comparative review of the tolerability profiles of dopamine agonists in > the treatment of hyperprolactinaemia and inhibition of lactation. > Webster J > > http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_ui > ds=1676318&dopt=Abstract > : BMJ 1991 Jun 8;302(6789):1367-71 > Single dose cabergoline versus bromocriptine in inhibition of puerperal > lactation: randomised, double blind, multicentre study.
