Came across an article on clinical examination of the breast that
contains a diagram illustrating the % amounts of the breast tissue that
is distributed in 4 quadrants plus a central zone of the breast.

While it did not address the lactating breast, the article provides some
good general anatomical knowledge. I found myself surprised at the
actual distribution.

The "envelope of skin and its contents" concept again came to mind.
