Came across an article on clinical examination of the breast that contains a diagram illustrating the % amounts of the breast tissue that is distributed in 4 quadrants plus a central zone of the breast. While it did not address the lactating breast, the article provides some good general anatomical knowledge. I found myself surprised at the actual distribution. The "envelope of skin and its contents" concept again came to mind.
