Congratulations.

I too never learned to do this in residency. Then my own baby had a tight frenulum and no one would clip it. I finally turned to an old doctor (retired) in town who did it on the kitchen table with a flashlight! and a pair of sterile scissors. 1/2 a drop of blood and that was all. The difference was IMMEDIATE in her suck. This is not circumscision- it's much easier than it's made out to be so long as the frenulum is not one of the thick, vascular ones. I hope that you will encourage your collegues to learn to do this too.

Sincerely,
