A client who is due to give birth in six weeks has Ideopathic
Thrombocytopenia. I don't understand why her obstetrician and heamatologist
have told her that they don't know if she can breastfeed. Apparently there
is concern that the antibodies could be passsed on through the breastmilk.
It is anticipated that this condition should resolve after the birth of her
baby. How can I make her doctors aware that breastfeeding is not
contraindicated?
